How Absolute Energy Supported the Helicopter House Build in Nelson

The Helicopter House Build in Nelson is more than just another construction project. It’s a community-powered initiative that brings together local businesses, tradespeople, and sponsors to support the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter. With all proceeds going to the Rescue Helicopter Endowment Trust. This build will help future-proof emergency services in our region for generations to come.

What Is the Helicopter House Build? 

The Helicopter House Build is a collaborative project taking place on the grounds just past the Mitre 10 MEGA Nelson Trade Department, right next to the new Nelson Junction. It features a stunning three-bedroom, two-bathroom home designed by Karsten Architecture. It is modern, functional, and suitable for a wide range of buyers including families, retirees, and first-home owners. 

This year marks 33 years of life-saving operations for the Rescue Helicopter service. In celebration, the community has come together to ‘be part of the build’ and make this project cost-neutral through generous donations of time, labour, and materials.
